What Millennium?

We in Glemsford do not recognise 2000 as the beginning of a new millennium.

If we accept our counting system from the birth of JC, the first century/millennium began with the year 1, not 0 - think about your own birthdays. Therefore, a century being a hundred years, and a millennium a thousand, the last year of the first century was 100, the last year of the first millennium was 1000, the first year of the second century was 101, the first year of the 20th century was 1901, the last year of the 20th century will be 2000, the first year of the new century and the new millennium will therefore be 2001. Think about it.
