125 Years

and going from strength to strength

The school entrance

During 1998 and 1999, Glemsford Primary School will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary. Over those 125 years the School has provided continuous education for the children of the village.

Starting life as a Board School, under the Education Act of 1870, the School was created by the village, for the village. Originally three Schools in one - Infants, Girls and Boys - the School has gradually metamorphosed into its present status as a 5 - 9 Primary School, with the recent addition, a nursery unit.

These pages are dedicated to the School's history, but also very much to its present.

The pages are under construction: some of the links won't work yet, but will before long.
