Jean Cook and the "Happy Vaccy" story
Several people have been in touch asking about Jean.
If anyone knows of her since she wrote that article a while back, the Society would love to know.

I have recently sent and e-mail to Glemsford in the hope that someone may enlighten me as to whether there is any trace of my ancestor Edgar Butcher - he appears on the
18 census as being born (birth year 1851) in GLUMSHEAD which I think should be Glemsford - he came to West Ham in Middlesex and was a mat weaver - I think he was the son of SAMUEL BUTCHER who was a grocer in Egremont Street-
could anyone help me trace the correct family? - thank you! I did actually visit Glemsford last year
but didn't find any evidence of the Butcher family -
